A striking signed sculptural coffee table by E. Kneip, dated 1993, combining an architectural black pedestal base with a richly textured mixed-media top.

The large rectangular top with softly rounded corners features an abstract composition in earthy shades of brown, olive, rust and black. Different textured materials are arranged almost like a geological mosaic, punctuated by distinctive circular metallic elements reminiscent of mechanical gears or industrial components. Small flashes of warm orange add contrast to the otherwise muted palette.

The work is visibly signed “E. KNEIP 93” within the composition, making this much more than a conventional coffee table: it sits between functional furniture and decorative art. The substantial black rounded pedestal base gives the elaborate top a strong, understated foundation.
