A beautiful large vintage French bistro-style mirror, richly decorated with hand-painted ornamental detailing and a warm gilt metal frame.

The mirror features a large central reflective panel surrounded by a broad mirrored border, creating an elegant layered effect. The border is embellished with delicate hand-painted scrolling foliage, stylised floral motifs and cross-hatched cartouches in warm brown and gold tones.

A slim gilt frame surrounds both the outer edge and central mirror, beautifully complementing the painted decoration. The combination of mirrored glass, aged gold tones and decorative handwork gives the piece the unmistakable character of classic French café and bistro interiors.

With its generous proportions of 135 cm high, this is an impressive statement mirror suitable for an entrance hall, living room, dining room, bedroom or above a console. It would work particularly well in French eclectic, Parisian, classical or maximalist interiors.
