A highly decorative set of six vintage solid oak dining chairs, distinguished by their tall sculptural backs, warm natural oak colour and wonderful hand-crafted character.

These impressive chairs have a strong Spanish Revival / Mediterranean / European Rustic influence, with an architectural high-back silhouette and beautifully decorative cut-out detailing. Each back is crowned by a shaped crest rail with flowing scalloped edges, while the tall uprights terminate in individually carved finials.

Further scalloped horizontal rails continue the decorative motif down the back, creating a distinctive rhythm and giving the chairs an instantly recognisable silhouette.

The solid oak seats are generously proportioned and retain the beautiful grain, knots and natural variations of the timber. Their warm honey-brown colour and aged patina give the set a wonderfully authentic appearance that is difficult to reproduce in newly made furniture.

Particularly attractive are the shaped front legs, which feature subtle carved profiles before terminating in broad feet. Traditional stretchers connect the legs and reinforce the substantial construction.

The combination of solid oak, tall proportions and expressive hand-cut decoration gives these chairs a wonderfully sculptural presence. Although rooted in traditional European furniture, their strong graphic silhouette makes them equally appealing in contemporary interiors.
