About the Slate

The tabletop is made from natural fossil slate, a sedimentary stone formed over hundreds of millions of years. Visible throughout the surface are fossilized marine organisms, including spiral shell impressions resembling ancient ammonites or gastropods, preserved naturally within the stone. These fossil markings are geological features—not imperfections—and make every tabletop entirely unique.
